Promotions
I built the promotional programme around product bundling — pairing products so that average order value rose without discounting the catalogue into unprofitability. It lifted average sales revenue by 20%.
Bundling works when the pairing solves a real problem for the buyer rather than simply clearing stock, which makes it a merchandising and audience question as much as a pricing one.
Marketplace expansion
I expanded the company’s digital footprint by establishing new marketplace accounts across the US — Tanga, Bonanza, Buy on Google, Rakuten and eBay among them. Each has its own listing rules, fee structure and search behaviour, so this was as much operational work as marketing.
For a business already carrying inventory, opening a marketplace channel reaches demand that will never arrive at the owned site.
Social foundations
I pioneered the company’s first social media accounts on Instagram, Twitter, Facebook and LinkedIn — establishing the channels, the voice and the posting operation from nothing.
